1.Export ENF

It is possible to cooperate with other Elysium products by translating NX models to Elysium Neutral Files.

Procedure

1. Open the NX model to translate.

2. Select [CADdoctor for NX Tools] tab > [Export To Elysium Neutral File(ENF)] from the ribbon menu.

3. Set the target objects for translation. If you want to translate target objects partially, select "Use Selection Dialog" to specify objects. When you want to translate all objects in the part, select "Entire part".

4. If you click [Use Selection Dialog] button, you can select objects to translate manually.
Target elements for translation are Solid Body, Sheet Body, Curve, Point, Datum Plane/Axis/CSYS.
Datum Plane/Axis and Point that are used in Datum CSYS are not translated.
Datum Plane/Axis/CSYS that are owned by assembly are not translated.

5. Specify an output folder and input a file name.

6. Select ON/OFF of save memory mode. If you select ON, memory usage becomes lower than the case of OFF, but the translation speed becomes a little slower.

7. The translation starts and the log dialog appears. You cannot operate NX until the translation is complete.

8. When the translation finished, the specified Elysium Neutral File is saved in the specified folder.

[Note] About failures of extracting face
CADdoctor for NX sometimes fails to extract faces because, for example, it cannot get the geometry data from the faces. In this case, reference points (red) are created at the middle point of edges around the faces. The reference points are created in NX as independent points of NX.
